Questa sezione del sito è dedicata a tutto ciò che riguarda le Olimpiadi della Matematica, progetto al quale collaboro a vario titolo dal 2006; cercherò di raccogliere in queste pagine il materiale didattico prodotto nel corso di vari stage di preparazione svolti in giro per l'Italia, e spero che la creazione di questo spazio sia di stimolo per produrne di nuovo.

A dir la verità, le idee per arricchire questa sezione non mi mancano, ma il tempo sì. Tuttavia, se avete richieste e suggerimenti, domande, feedback (che voi siate studenti, professori, responsabili distrettuali, Ludovico, membri della delegazione marziana alle Olimpiadi Intergalattiche...) sarò felicissima di ricevere un vostro messaggio o commento! Volete una dispensa sugli usi (e costumi) del Teorema di Dilworth? Una selezione dei migliori thread apparsi sul forum delle Olimpiadi (a proposito, al 99% è lì che dovreste stare in questo momento)? Informazioni sulle gare italiane? Suggerimenti su come tenere una lezione, come subire una lezione, come inventare un problema olimpico, come scrivere una soluzione, come giocare a Contact? Naturalmente non sono la persona più indicata per spiegarvi molte di queste cose; ergo, se siete qui per offrirvi di scrivere un "guest blog" sui pericoli dell'Inversione Circolare o sulle gelaterie di Cesenatico, siete a maggior ragione benvenuti! (No, eh...? Nemmeno un pezzo sui giochi di magia e la teoria dei numeri...?)

My name is Alessandra Caraceni and I am a (type B) researcher in Mathematics at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa.

My research interests lie at the intersection between Probability and Combinatorics. I work with large random combinatorial structures, and in particular I am interested in random trees, random planar maps, their local and scaling limits, and mixing time problems.

I have worked at Université Paris Sud (as Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et Recherche), as a member of Prob-L@b at the University of Bath, and I have been Florence Nightingale Fellow at the Department of Statistics of the University of Oxford until March 2021. Moreover, I have been a researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica in 2021 and most of 2022.
